The mantle heaters operate at"black heat" transferring the heat to the contents of the flask, mainly by conduction. This ensures uniform heat transfer and avoids "bumping". These mantles cover the flask to its equator to heat the flask uniformally. Heating coils are covered by mineral wool to ensure high thermal efficiency. Electric heating net is hand knitted from glass yarn.

The net is specially designed with tight knitting & also there is no joint from top to bottom to maintain the strength of the yarn and stands high temperature upto 350 Deg C.

The body of the mantle is spun one piece from non rusting aluminium upto 5Lt. capacity.

The rating capacity of these mantles being small, their response to control device is repid. Each unit is fitted with a pilot lamp and energy regulator with wire and plug to work on 230 Volt Ac 50Hz supply or Three phase supply.
